CENTAURO
T90 CNC LATHE
The
T90 is a state of the art CNC lathe.
Using floppy disk storage, the need for a timber original or a metal
template of the component (stair posts, chair or table legs, etc.) is
eliminated.
The
graphic creation and storage of the profile can be produced very quickly
directly on the control panel of the machine or on any desktop PC, thanks to
Centauro’s dedicated software.
Commercially available CAD software may also be used, giving the buyer
three ways in which to produce the graphic image.
The
control computer also stores the optimum cutting data, i.e. saddle speeds, the
number of passes needed as well as the position of any dowels.
Since
the T90 may be re-set between different components in an extremely short time,
many different turnings can be produced in one working shift. This unique ability to produce short
batches of many different designs reduces stocking costs for "work in progress"
substantially.
An
automatic hopper automatically loads timber blanks, allowing unattended
operation.
